Biography

Sun Jiaming is President of Wuhan Union Plastic and Aesthetic Hospital, a discipline leader in Plastic Surgery, and a National Level II Professor. His clinical and research work focuses on breast plastic and aesthetic surgery, complex trauma repair, and body surface organ reconstruction. He has long been devoted to basic and clinical research in plastic surgery, tissue engineering, and stem cells.

He was the first in China to introduce techniques such as “water-assisted autologous fat breast augmentation,” “modified double-ring breast reduction mammoplasty,” and “diagnosis after polyacrylamide hydrogel injection breast augmentation using three-dimensional MRI reconstruction,” thereby optimizing surgical outcomes and greatly improving safety. He has successfully completed nearly 10,000 breast plastic and aesthetic surgeries of various types.

He received consecutive funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2010 and 2011. He is the chief editor of 《Breast Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery》 and has participated in the compilation and translation of 《Operative Plastic Surgery》, 《Modern Scar Therapy》, 《Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery: A Hundred Questions Series》, and 《Laser Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery》, among others.
